Dr. Scott Kemp grew up in Hueytown, Alabama and has made his home in Tuscaloosa for the past 7 years. He graduated from the University of Alaska, where he met his wife Laurie, with a Bachelor’s of Science (BS) in biochemistry and molecular biology. He went on to attend graduate school at the University of Alaska Natural Health Sciences, graduating with a Master of Science (MS) in biochemistry and molecular biology with special emphasis in protein oncology. Following graduate school, he attended medical school at A.T. Still University Health Sciences in Missouri and Arizona. Following Medical school graduation, Dr. Kemp pursued his postgraduate specialty training in Family Medicine at The University of Alabama Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency. Dr. Kemp is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and is Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Kemp and his wife, Laurie, have two sons, Scott Jr. and Jack, who keep them very busy in their spare time with sports and activities.
