Dr. Lorraine Bock, DNP, FNP-C, ENP-C, FAANP is board certified as both a family nurse practitioner and as a nurse practitioner in emergency medicine. She has been providing primary care for patients in Carlisle for over 25 years. She received her Master’s Degree at the University of Pennsylvania and her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Robert Morris University. Dr. Bock was inducted as a fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners in 2014. Less than 1% of the 248,000 NP’s in the US qualify for a fellowship in AANP. She has worked extensively with families who have unique health needs and require specialized, compassionate care, including providing LGBTQ+ care. She integrates holistic and alternative practices such as herbal therapy and massage with traditional medical therapy and medications. Dr. Bock is a skilled clinician and a tireless patient advocate. Dr. Bock started working as a nurse practitioner in primary care in Carlisle, Pennsylvania when she joined Brookwood Family Medicine in 1994. She began her own private practice in 1999 in New Cumberland in partnership with another nurse practitioner. That practice grew and changed, seeing patients of all ages until 2014 when Bock Family Healthcare closed its doors. Patients continued to contact Dr. Bock about when she was going to open another practice and in 2018, she decided to open Peaceful Balance Health and Wellness Services.
