Our twist on a classic grilled cheese uses extra-lean ham and gruyere cheese for a sandwich you won’t soon forget.

Recipe Ingredients:

2 tbsp dark brown mustard

2 tbsp honey

8 medium slices French bread, (approximately 4” x 2 ½ “ x 1 ¾” each)

4 slices (1 oz each) extra-lean ham, roasted

1 medium tomato, thinly sliced

4 slices (1 oz each) gruyere

Nonstick spray

Preparation:

Combine mustard and honey in a small bowl. Coat one side of each slice of French bread lightly with honey-mustard. 

Add ham to preheated pan on medium. Cook 30 seconds each side. 

Add 1 slice ham, 2 slices tomato, and 1 slice gruyere to two slices of bread to make sandwich. Coat skillet with nonstick spray. Grill each side of sandwich until golden brown and cheese is melted.
